New Jersey’s minimum wage rates have increased for 2024. 

The new wage for most workers is now $15.13 per hour. The new wage for workers at seasonal and small employer businesses (fewer than six employees) is now $13.73 per hour. The new wage for long-term care facility direct care staff members is now $18.13 per hour. The new wage for agricultural workers is now $12.81. 

The tipped minimum wage rate has not changed and remains $5.26 per hour. However, the maximum tip credit has increased to $9.87. Tipped employees must receive at least $15.13 per hour between tips and their hourly wage rate. 

Workers have the right to receive minimum wages according to the law regardless of immigration status.
