On September 26, 2024, V&A sponsored and attended a benefit dinner for TakeRoot Justice, a non-profit organization that "provides legal, participatory research, and policy support to strengthen the work of grassroots and community-based groups in New York City to dismantle racial, economic, and social oppression."
V&A attorneys LaDonna Lusher, Jenny Brejt, Michele Moreno, Joel Goldenberg, and Leonor Hidalgo Coyle attended the benefit dinner, which celebrated TakeRoot Justice's five years of legal, research, and policy support for organizing.
