Higher minimum wage rates for New Jersey in 2026.
New Jersey’s minimum wage rates have increased for 2026. Starting January 1, 2026, the new minimum wage in New Jersey this year is $15.92 per hour for most workers.
The new wage for workers at seasonal and small employer businesses (fewer than six employees) is now $15.23 per hour. The new wage for agricultural workers is now $14.20.
The tipped minimum wage rate is now $6.05 per hour.
Workers have the right to receive minimum wages according to the law regardless of immigration status.
