"Our goal is to prove by example that in the United States all people are equal under the law."

V&A partner Lloyd Ambinder spoke to Russian-American weekly newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda in America about concerns facing workers in the New York area, especially those in the Russian-American community. See below for translated excerpts from the interview.

"Our goal is to prove by example that in the United States all people are equal under the law. A person who has worked many overtime hours is entitled to receive adequate compensation for their work.  We have many cases addressing this issue.  For example, yesterday I gave a check for $120,000 to a client, and today, his coworker is going to get a check for $115,000.  They both worked many years in construction and were never paid overtime."

"Every working person in our country should be equally protected by the law, no matter how much that person earns, 10 dollars or 100 dollars per hour.  In most cases, the honest hardworking folks are who need the protection of law the most."
