The New Jersey minimum wage rates have changed in 2023. It is important for you to know the updated rates, as your rights might be affected.

The New Jersey minimum wage rates have changed in 2023. It is important for you to know the updated rates, as your rights might be affected. 

  1. The general minimum wage is $14.13 per hour.
  2. Tipped Employees: Must receive from the employer a base wage rate of $5.26 per hour.
  3. Seasonal and Small Employers (less than six workers) must receive $12.93 per hour.
  4. Agricultural Employees must receive $12.01 per hour.

Regardless of your immigration status, you have the right to receive the correct minimum wage rate according to the law.
