Sumana Ramakrishnan joined Virginia & Ambinder, LLP in October 2009, and has worked for the firm as an intern and paralegal. She is a third-year undergraduate student at New York University, majoring in Politics and minoring in Business. Sumana has also worked in the field of public relations, as an events coordinator at the political non-profit The Common Good and as a campaign intern at the canvassing organization Fund for the Public Interest. At NYU, Sumana is actively involved in the Oxfam America club, and studied abroad in London in her second year. In 2008, she received the Raoul Wallenberg Humanitarian Service Award for her dedication to the Save Darfur cause. Sumana is proficient in Spanish, Hindi, and Tamil.
